Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Do I automatically get entered into the competition when I sign up? Yes. Once your MetroFibre service is activated, you're automatically entered into the competition.

  2. Does it matter which package I choose? Yes - and it works in your favour. The faster the fibre internet package you sign up for, the more entries into the competition you receive.
    For example, a 30/30Mbps package earns 1 entry, but a 1000/1000Mbps package earns 30 entries.
  3. What can I win?
    - The Grand Prize is 1 x Jetour T2 2.0T Xplora DCT 4WD valued at R639 900.
    - 2 x R100 000 cash prizes (MetroFibre Go - Vumatel customers only), and 4 x R10 000 monthly cash prizes.
    - 1 x 1Gbps fibre line for 12 months (MetroFibre Go - Octotel customers only).   

    Monthly draws will take place at the beginning of August, September, October and November 2026.

    If you win a monthly cash prize, you stay in the running for the grand prize - but you can only win ONE cash prize (i.e. if you win R10 000 in a monthly draw, you are no longer eligible for the R100 000 cash prize).
  4. When does the Grand Prize draw take place?  The Grand Prize draw will take place within 30 days of the competition closing on 31 October 2026. 
  5. How will I know if I've won?  We will contact winners directly via the phone number or email address associated with their account within 10 days of the relevant draw. So, ensure the details you provide are accurate.
  6. Can I change my package after signing up?  Yes. If you upgrade to a faster package after signing up, you'll receive additional entries for the competition. The full table which shows how many entries you receive based on the package you choose, is viewable in the full terms and conditions for the competition. 
  7. I'm already a MetroFibre customer. Can I still win? Yes. Upgrade to a faster package during the competition period and you're automatically entered. The faster the package you choose, the more entries you receive.

The MetroFibre Win a Car Competition runs from 1 July – 31 October 2026.

Open exclusively to customers subscribed to MetroFibre Direct or MetroFibre Go on all partnered networks being Vumatel, Octotel, Openserve and Connectivity Services. Residential accounts only - business packages excluded. Entry is automatic on activation of a qualifying new fibre service during the competition period. Entry weighting is based on package speed - full table at metrofibre.co.za/competitions. 

Customers on Winback or Financial Aid packages are excluded. Accounts in arrears don't qualify.
